June 7 (UPI) -- Tyler Hubbard is going to be a dad.
The 30-year-old Florida Georgia Line singer confirmed in an interview with People published Wednesday that wife Hayley Hubbard is pregnant and expecting a baby in December.
"There's a lot of excitement -- it's something we've looked forward to for a while," Tyler told the magazine. "It's just an exciting phase of our life and an exciting next step."
"There's a lot that we're going to get to learn," he added. "Trying to have the balance of raising a kid and raising a family with the lifestyle that we have, and the pace of life that we live -- it's going to be fun, it's going to be challenging and something that we're really, really excited about."
Tyler and Hayley married in Sun Valley, Idaho, in July 2015. The couple also shared their baby news on Instagram.
"WE ARE PREGNANT," Tyler wrote. "Holy cow we're going to be parents. God is so good and we can't wait for this next chapter of our life. #lilhubbard."
"We're having a little Hubbard!!" Hayley added. "Beyond excited for this new chapter and even more excited to see @thubbmusic be a dad! Our hearts are so happy!"
Tyler last released the album Dig Your Roots with Florida Georgia Line in August. The country music duo consists of Hubbard and longtime friend Brian Kelley.
