May 9 (UPI) -- Katy Perry is shedding light on her upcoming fifth studio album and commenting again on her feud with Taylor Swift. "Sonically, it's fun and dance-y and dark and light," Perry says of the album which remains untitled in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. "It's all of these things. It definitely is a change."

According to the 32-year-old, the release which will be her first since 2013's Prism, reflects on how her life have changed since entering into her 30s.
"I left my 20s and I've gone to my 30s," she said. "I've embraced. I've surrendered. I've healed some of my issues with my family, with my relationships. Today I'm sober but I don't know about tomorrow! One day at a time, right? It's all kind of beautiful. I built up Katy Perry and she was so fun. And I still am Katy Perry and I love her so much but, at the core, I'm Katheryn Hudson and I think that's being revealed as I embrace who I really am."
The new album will feature the singles "Chained to the Rhythm," and "Bon Appetit" featuring Migos along with a track titled "Bigger Than Me" about the 2016 presidential election and a dance song titled "Swish Swish."
When asked whether or not she would respond to Swift's 2014 song "Bad Blood" on the new album, Perry denied that she would be focusing on any one person and that it's not her place to comment on whether or not "Bad Blood" is about her.
"I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that's calling out any one person," she said. "One thing to note is: You can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that's not to any one person and don't quote me that it is, because it's not. It's not about that. Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story."
"But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don't forget about that, okay, honey. We got to keep it real, honey. This record is not about anyone else! This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else! It's not even about me! It's about everything that I see out there that I digest," Perry continued.
The feud between Perry and Swift began with the release of "Bad Blood" when the "Shake It Off" singer confirmed to Rolling Stone that the track was about a female musician who "tried to sabotage an entire arena tour."
Social media users then speculated that Swift was talking about Perry after she tweeted, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing," a day after Swift's comments were published.
In September, Perry stated that she is open to working with Swift if the 27-year-old apologizes.
