May 2 (UPI) -- Janet Jackson posted a 90-second video on social media to update her fans on how she is adjusting to motherhood and when she will return to her concert tour.
The clip opens with the 50-year-old superstar joking about how she has bags under her eyes and gained weight throughout her pregnancy with her son Eissa, who was born in January. Jackson and Wissam Al Manaher, her husband of four years, separated shortly after the child's birth.
Jackson can be seen in Monday's video lying on her back, wearing little makeup, a visor and what appears to be a white, long-sleeved, T-shirt.
"Hi, guys, it's me, Jan. Just in case you don't recognize me because I have put on quite a few since I had the baby. ... But I thank God. I thank God for him, you guys. He is so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby," she said, adding: "Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God's hands. ... I'm continuing my tour as I promised. I'm so excited, you guys. So excited. I decided to change the name of the tour -- State of the World tour. It's not about politics. It's about people, the world, relationships and just love."
She also thanked her fans for their patience and support, promising them, "See you soon."
Jackson is expected to resume her tour on Sept. 7 in Lafayette, La. She began the string of shows then known as Unbreakable in 2015, but last year postponed the remainder of the dates to focus on her pregnancy.
