Josh Groban releases new song for 'Beauty and the Beast'

The singer last released the album "Stages" in April 2015.

March 3 (UPI) -- Josh Groban released a new song for Beauty and the Beast soundtrack Thursday.

The 36-year-old singer recorded the ballad "Evermore" for the live-action Disney movie starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, which opens in theaters March 17.

"Hey all, 'Everymore' from @beourguest has just been released!!! Hope you enjoy," he tweeted to his 899,000 followers.

The film's soundtrack will also include a new version of the Beauty and the Beast theme song from Ariana Grande and John Legend, and the song "How Does a Moment Last Forever from Celine Dion, who recorded a pop version of the theme song with Peabo Bryson for Disney's original 1991 animated movie.

Groban also announced Thursday that he paid a visit to the Sesame Street studio. The singer described the experience as "a dream," and later shared a photo of himself with Cookie Monster.

"I. Am. So. Happy. Today. Thank you Sesame Street for this magic day and for the memories both old and new," he tweeted.

Groban last released the album Stages in April 2015, which included songs from such Broadway musicals as Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera. He made his Broadway debut in September in Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812.
