Lorde teases new music in mysterious videos

Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Lorde has begun teasing new music with the release of short, mysterious videos.

The clip, released on website imwaitingforit.com, features a piano-backed track playing in the background.

As the footage ends, the dates "3.2.17 NYC" and "3.3.17 NZ" appear on the screen.

The pop star known for 2013's Pure Heroine which featured songs such as the Grammy-award winning "Royals" along with "Tennis Court," will be the musical guest on the March 11 episode of Saturday Night Live and is set to perform at a number of musical festivals including Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Coachella.

In November, Lorde wrote a lengthy note on Facebook regarding her new album writing, "The party is about to start. I am about to show you the new world."
