Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Kate Hudson surprised her sons Wednesday by arranging for them to meet Twenty One Pilots. The 37-year-old actress reunited with ex-fiancé Matthew Bellamy to treat 13-year-old Ryder and 5-year-old Bingham to the band's concert in Anaheim, Calif., where they met the duo backstage.

"Surprised the boys tonight with their favorite band @twentyonepilots," Hudson captioned a photo on Instagram from the outing. "Thank you guys and the whole TOP family for making it so special. We had a blast."
"Bing really is this cool," Bellamy added to a picture of Bingham hanging out with Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots.
Hudson and Bellamy, the 38-year-old frontman of Muse, split in 2014 after more than a three-year engagement. The pair are parents to Bingham, while Hudson shares Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson.
"Relationships ending are painful, and you can choose to carry that or you can choose to reframe it," the actress said of Bellamy in the November 2015 issue of Allure.
"If Matt and I had a great relationship, we would still be together, but we chose to move on," she added. 'That doesn't mean, though, that we can't rebuild something that would be the best thing for the kids."
Hudson was linked to singer Nick Jonas in 2016, while Bellamy is dating model Elle Evans, who accompanied him to the concert. The actress will next star in Marshall with Chadwick Boseman and Dan Stevens.
