Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga will be performing alongside Metallica for a duet at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards Sunday.
Rolling Stone confirmed the onstage pairing after a Gaga fan site tweeted video of a Grammy promo clip declaring "Lady Gaga duets with Metallica."
According to Spin, the pop star will likely be providing vocal support for Metallica lead singer James Hetfield who was forced to postpone a recent concert due to doctors putting him on vocal rest.
Gaga and Metallica join a long list of performers scheduled for the event including Adele, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, John Legend, The Weeknd, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Chance the Rapper, Alicia Keys, Daft Punk, Anderson .Paak, Maren Morris and Katy Perry.
Metallica is nominated for Best Rock Song at the show while Gaga received no nominations due to her latest album Joanne releasing after the 2016 deadline.
The performance caps off a busy week for Gaga who performed during the halftime show of Super Bowl LI and announced a world tour in support of Joanne.
