Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Faith Evans has announced a new duets album titled The King & I that will feature unreleased vocals from late hip-hop icon Notorious B.I.G.
Set to release two days before Notorious B.I.G.'s birthday on May 19, the project is Evans first album in 10 years.
Tracks will also include duets with Notorious B.I.G. associates Lil Kim and the Lox's Sheek Louch along with Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Cease, Styles P and Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace.
"I remember telling Ms. Wallace years ago that one day it would be really dope if I could do something similar to Natalie & Nat King Cole's Unforgettable," Evans notes in a statement.
"Knowing the love that B.I.G. had for Tyanna & Ceejay, I feel it's my duty to uphold & extend his legacy, especially his musical contributions. This project is my creative reflection of the love we had & the bond we will always have. I'm elated to share this musical journey with our fans!" she continues.
Two songs from The King & I have been released on Spotify including "When We Party" featuring Snoop Dogg and "NYC" featuring Jadakiss.
Evans and the Notorious B.I.G., real name, Christopher Wallace, were married from 1994 until his death in 1997. They were separated at the time of his death.
