The 1975 announces new North American spring tour

Jan. 24 (UPI) -- British alternative rock act The 1975 is set to embark on a North American tour this spring.

The band will hit the road in support of the album I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it starting April 9 in Mexico City and will hit major cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, New York and Boston before wrapping up the tour on June 4 in Cincinnati.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Jan. 27 with pre-sale options available on Jan. 25 to those who sign up through Ticketmaster.

The 1975 was nominated for two Brit Awards will be performing at the awards event on Feb. 22.
