LOS ANGELES, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Drake now ties his former mentor, Lil Wayne, for most appearances by a soloist on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

The actor-turned-musician ties Wayne with the release of Gucci Mane's single "Both," which features Drake coming in at No. 41 on the chart.

The duo have both now made it onto the Hot 100 132 times each, the most appearances among soloists in the chart's 58-year history, Billboard said.

Behind Drake and Wayne are legendary acts such as Elvis Presley with 108 appearances, James Brown with 91 and fellow rapper Jay Z with 86.

When taking into account all acts, Wayne and Drake fall behind the cast of Glee who have released 207 hit songs that made it onto the Hot 100.

This latest feat caps off an impressive year for Drake who released his best-selling album Views in 2016 with single "One Dance" holding onto the No. 1 spot for 14 weeks. The single also became the first song to be streamed 1 billion times on Spotify and Apple Music.
