Chance the Rapper, Jeremih release surprise Christmas mixtape on Soundcloud

CHICAGO, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Christmas has come early for fans of Chance the Rapper and Jeremih as the duo has released a surprise holiday-themed mixtape on Soundcloud.

The nine-song project titled Merry Christmas Lil Mama, was discovered on the music site Thursday and features a collection of holiday tunes including a cover of "Carol of the Bells" titled "Chi Town Christmas."

Other notable tracks include "The Tragedy" featuring rapper Noname, "I Shoulda Left You" featuring rapper Lud Foe and "All the Way" that is highlighted by an appearance by comedian Hannibal Buress.

The mixtape is the latest release from Chance the Rapper following the critically-acclaimed Coloring Book from May.

Chance the Rapper last made headlines after he performed on Saturday Night Live alongside actor Casey Affleck. The episode was previewed by a comedic skit that featured the pair attempting to unsuccessfully decorate the Rockefeller Christmas tree.
