NEW YORK, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga is providing more insight into her split from fiancé Taylor Kinney.

The 30-year-old singer discussed her "deep" and "full" approach to love on CBS Sunday Morning following the end of her engagement to the 35-year-old actor.

"I think women love very hard. We love men. We just love with everything we have. And sometimes I don't know that that love is met with the type of dignity that we wish it would be met with," Lady Gaga said.

"You know, we're not trying to make you less of a man. We just want you to love us as deeply and as wholesomely and as fully as we love you," she explained.

Lady Gaga and Kinney met on the set of the singer's "You and I" music video in 2011 and got engaged in February 2015. Lady Gaga confirmed in July that she and Kinney "have been taking a break," but later told The Howard Stern Show she and the actor remain close.

"I'm actually very close to Taylor," she said in October. "He's been my lover and my friend for a really long time. He's been so supportive of [my album Joanne] and I support him on his show, Chicago Fire."

"I hate to sound like a hippie, but I kind of am one and so is he. We love each other, that's it. It's just about life changes, and we all go through different stages and we're focused on different things," the star added.

Lady Gaga is focused her career following the release of Joanne in October. She will perform at the 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in December, and reportedly play Donatella Versace in American Crime Story Season 3.
