Juan Gabriel, Carlos Vives and Shakira win big at the Latin Grammy Awards

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Juan Gabriel's Los Dúo 2 was declared Album of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album of the Year at the 17th annual Latin Grammy Awards ceremony in Las Vegas Thursday night.

"La Bicicleta" by Carlos Vives and Shakira scored the prizes for Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

Manuel Medrano was named Best New Artist and Un Besito Más by Jesse & Joy earned the award for Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album.

Yandel's "Encantadora" won for Best Urban Fusion/Performance and Best Urban Song, and Energía by J Balvin was deemed Best Urban Music Album.

The Best Rock Album honor went to La Salvación De Solo y Juan by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs.

Sebastian Rulli and Roselyn Sánchez hosted the show, which included performances by Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, J Balvin, Pharrell and Juanes.
