NASHVILLE, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Miranda Lambert is calling out critics of her latest photo with boyfriend Anderson East.
The 32-year-old country star penned a post Thursday to "cowardly" social media users who were "judgmental" about a picture of her and East at the 2016 Country Music Association Awards.
"Last night I was all dolled up and 'out on the town' with my sweet man at the CMA awards in Nashville. I was excited about the night and posted a picture. Just now when I looked I realized so many comments were judgmental and negative," Lambert wrote.
"Cowardly people hiding behind a keyboard or a cell phone writing their useless comments about our eyes and clothes and body language. What a bunch of bull [expletive]," she declared. "Thank y'all for reminding me why I read books, write songs, and spend most of my time with animals and people I trust and love."
Lambert had shared a photo on Instagram of herself and East on the red carpet at the CMA Awards. The star was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the ceremony, but lost to "Heartbeat" singer Carrie Underwood.
"I had a great time last night celebrating country music at the CMA awards with my sweet[heart] by my side! @andersoneast I'm a lucky girl! #cma50thanniversary #countrymusic #nashville #myBAMAboy #anothervice," she wrote.
Lambert and East confirmed their relationship in December 2015 following the country star's divorce from Blake Shelton. Lambert revealed in October that she and East co-wrote two songs for her new album, The Weight of These Wings, scheduled for release Nov. 18.
"She can't wait to tour and have the country hear her sing again," a source told E! News at the time. "This new music is very special to her and you will hear some songs that reflect her life and situations she has been through over this year. People will relate."
