Adele's boyfriend replaces confetti with love notes at Nashville show

NASHVILLE, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Adele's boyfriend, Simon Konecki, surprised the singer on their fifth anniversary by replacing the confetti at her Nashville show with handwritten love notes.

After each show's finale, white confetti made up of handwritten song lyrics fall from the ceiling. On Sunday Konecki replaced the regular confetti with pink slips of paper, each with a handwritten love note to the singer.

The notes, which fans posted on Twitter, contained messages like "Happy Anniversary," "You are an angel," "I love you," and "Love you long time."

Adele and Konecki are parents to son Angelo, 3, and began dating in 2011.
