NEW YORK, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Tony Bennett celebrated his 90th birthday at a star-studded gala Wednesday.

"This is a day I'll never forget as long as I live," Bennett told reporters at a lighting ceremony in his honor at the Empire State Building prior to the fĂȘte.

"To be treated this way at 90 years old, I feel like I'm 19 years old. It's a wonderful treat. It's one of the very special things in my whole life," he said. "I love life."

People reported Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder performed Wonder's hit "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" at the party, while director Martin Scorsese gave a toast. Guests enjoyed two birthday cakes -- one with a New York theme and another of San Francisco.

Bennett was accompanied by his wife of nine years, Susan Crow, and his elder son, producer Danny Bennett, who presented the singer with the cakes. Bennett is also dad to son Dae and daughters Antonia and Joanna.
