LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Britney Spears officially announced her new album Wednesday. The 34-year-old singer shared cover art for the record, Glory, which is set for release Aug. 26.
"#Glory. My new album & the beginning of a new era. Available 8/26 on @AppleMusic. Pre-order tonight at midnight ET," she tweeted.
Spears last released Britney Jean in 2013, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and includes the singles "Work Bitch" and "Perfume." She released a first single from Glory, "Make Me" ft. G-Eazy, in July.
"I've been working on this [album] for a year and a half now, almost two years, so it really means a lot to me," the star told E! News the month previous. "It's my baby."
"It's a little more melodic, a little more not so poppy," she revealed. "It's kind of chill. Very chill."
