Twenty One Pilots release 'Suicide Squad' infused music video for 'Heathens'

LOS ANGELES, June 22 (UPI) -- Twenty One Pilots latest music video for their new single "Heathens" features footage from Warner Bros. upcoming villain-focused actioner, Suicide Squad.

The clip released Tuesday see's the band performing inside the film's Belle Reve Penitentiary which houses DC Comics characters Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez) and more.

The song works as an official tie-in to the upcoming film and will appear on the official Suicide Squad soundtrack.

New footage from Suicide Squad featured in the video include a sequence in which Harley Quinn is shown being dragged out onto a wheeled stretcher.

The band also released a colorful, Suicide Squad themed poster for the single on Twitter with the caption "#skwad."

Directed by David Ayer and starring Jared Leto (The Joker), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) and Tatsu Yamashiro (Katana), Suicide Squad opens in theaters Aug. 5.
