NEW YORK, June 17 (UPI) -- Demi Lovato is ready to tour again with longtime friend Nick Jonas.

The 23-year-old singer promoted their Future Now tour on Friday's Good Morning America after performing her singles "Confident" and "Cool for the Summer."

"I think we're both most excited to see our fans and be able to perform new music," Lovato said. "We toured together before several years ago, so we've done this before, and now we get to do it again and we're both so excited."

"We work really well together," she added. "We're business partners now -- we own a label together called Safehouse Records -- so it makes a lot of sense."

Lovato and Jonas will kick off the tour June 29 in Atlanta, Ga. The venture follows Lovato's split from actor Wilmer Valderrama, which Jonas discussed with Entertainment Tonight at his Altec Lansing headphones launch Wednesday.

"I've built an amazing friendship with Wilmer over the years and I have so much love for him," the singer, also 23, said. "Demi is one of my closest friends in the world so I'm here for her, and for both of them, really."

"It's probably the best timing for everybody," he said of the breakup. "[I'm] just thrilled [about the tour]. The biggest thing is about having a good time."

GMA anchor Lara Spencer announced on the episode that Lovato's latest album, Confident, has gone platinum. The singer released the record in October, while Jonas dropped Last Year Was Complicated on June 10.
