Newly added shows will begin Aug. 4 after the "Breakers Roar" singer visits the U.K. in July starting Aug. 4 in Montreal and ending Nov. 4 in Oakland.

Tickets for several stops on Simpson's already in progress tour including Nashville and Chicago are already sold out while tickets for the newly scheduled shows go on sale starting May 20th.

Simpson released his latest chart-topping album, A Sailor's Guide to Earth in April. "I knew I wanted to make a concept record in song-cycle form, like my favorite Marvin Gaye records where everything just continuously flows. I also wanted it to be something that when my son is older and maybe I'm gone, he can listen to it and get a sense of who I was," he said to Rolling Stone about the release.

Recently, the 37-year-old released a music video for his single "Breakers Roar" which featured a drowning surfer sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
