The 2-hour entertainment special is to be broadcast live from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston on July 4 on CBS.
"Lovato and Jonas will perform some of their biggest hits with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart," the network said.
David Mugar, who will also serve as executive producer, founded the orchestra's free outdoor Fourth of July concert in 1974.
Recording artists Lovato and Jonas have been making headlines lately. The pair is scheduled to perform at the Billboard Music Awards show on May 22 and they recently canceled concerts in North Carolina to protest the state's law specifying transgender people must use the public bathrooms that coincide with their gender at birth.
