The former Jonas Brothers member also announced through a series of Twitter posts that his upcoming album Last Year Was Complicated is now available for pre-order.

Jonas warned of the hot video for "Close" on Thursday, writing "This music video tomorrow is gonna require a few cold showers afterwords."

The music video, released Friday morning, shows both Jonas and Tove Lo being brought close and torn away from each other by invisible forces until most of their clothing is ripped apart. The song, he said on Twitter, was about how he "literally can't open up and be vulnerable with someone."

Last Year Was Complicated is set for June 10 release via Island Records, Billboard confirmed. Jonas revealed that not only Tove Lo will appear on the record, but also Big Sean, Ty Dolla Sign, Bebe Rexha and Allen Iverson.

Tracks on the upcoming album include "Voodoo," "Champagne Problems," "Good Girls," "Don't Make Me Choose," and "Unhinged."

In a series of Twitter posts, Jonas explained the emotion behind the upcoming album. "I've been making this record for a year and a half...Pouring everything I have into it," he said.

"When I first started making I thought I knew what it would be about," he continued. "Then I had a breakup. It then became very clear what this thing would be about... And that I would need to dig really deep."
