Katy Perry and Dolly Parton to perform duet at the ACM Awards

LAS VEGAS, March 21 (UPI) -- Country music legend Dolly Parton and pop icon Katy Perry are to take the stage together at the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony, CBS said Monday.

The pair will perform "an unforgettable duet," the network promised without divulging any other details about the set.

"I'll be collaborating with the ever amazing and oh so talented @katyperry at this years @ACMAwards!" Parton tweeted.

"MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED I shall remember though that I am but one sequin on this living legend's costume!" Perry said in her own Twitter post.

Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan are to host the event, which will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas April 3.
