LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Broadcast journalist Katie Couric tweeted a video featuring talk-show host James Corden expertly rapping the lyrics from the Broadway musical Hamilton during his interview with her.

"@Lin_Manuel, I think @JKCorden is ready to join the cast of @HamiltonMusical!" Couric said, addressing the hit show's creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda and sharing footage from Corden's impromptu performance from her Yahoo chat with him.

"Well damn! Nicely done!" Lin-Manuel replied.

The cast of the musical performed via satellite at last week's Grammy Awards ceremony where the show's soundtrack picked up a prize.
