Coldplay, Beyoncé tour India in new 'Hymn for the Weekend' music video

MUMBAI, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Coldplay and Beyoncé explore India in the new colorful music video for their single, "Hymn for the Weekend."

Filmed on location in Mumbai, India with director Ben Mor, the video comes a week before the musical duo are set to take the stage together during the halftime show of Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7.

The video features the band performing on the streets of Mumbai as Holi, the festival of colors and love is being celebrated. As the band plays on, they are continually surrounded by townsfolk who playfully throw splashes of color their way.

Beyoncé is seen in the clip as a Bollywood actress featured in posters plastered around the city. Frontman Chris Martin is seen entering a movie theater to watch a film of the pop star who's decked out in an elaborate Indian dress and henna tattoos.

"Hymn for the Weekend" is the latest single from Coldplay's seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams released back in December. On Thursday, to promote the album, Coldplay announced its first U.S stadium tour dates as part of their new tour. Tickets become available to Citi card holders, Jan. 29 and to the general public starting Feb. 5.
