Zayn Malik shows off tattooed torso while announcing single debut on Instagram

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Recording artist Zayn Malik has announced his first solo single will debut Friday.

The record is called "Pillow Talk." No other details regarding the eagerly awaited song were immediately available.

Malik, 23, posted the release date on Instagram along with a black-and-white photo showing him shirtless and revealing his tattooed torso.

The musician left the wildly popular boy band One Direction last March to start a solo career.
