LONDON, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Recording artist and reality TV personality Melanie "Mel B" Brown says The Spice Girls might reunite for the 20th anniversary of the founding of their pop group.

"I think I'm the one putting all the rumors out there," The Express reported the singer said on Alan Carr's New Year's Eve Specstacular.

"To be serious, it is our 20th anniversary this year and it would be rude not to celebrate, so, hopefully, something will be happening pretty soon."

Urged to share details, she insisted, "I can't tell you what it is yet!"

Best known for the hits "Wannabe," "Say You'll Be There" and "2 Become 1," the pop group was comprised of Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham. The musicians disbanded in 2000, but reunited in 2007-08. They also performed at the 2012 London Olympics.
