N.W.A., Chicago to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

CLEVELAND, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A. and Steve Miller have been named the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's inductees.

The 31st annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is to take place April 8 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Tickets will go on sale to the public in February.

HBO will broadcast the tribute some time during the spring.

Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording.
