Demi Lovato releases new album, Fall Out Boy collaboration

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Singer Demi Lovato unveiled her newest album, Confident, along with a separate collaborative track with band Fall Out Boy Friday.

The 23-year-old celebrity announced the release of her autobiographical project early Friday morning, expressing excitement over Twitter and Instagram alongside photos of the cover art. Lovato spent her opening night in New York, sharing a photo from Times Square at midnight saying she is on her way to "#findconfident."

In an interview with Access Hollywood published this week, the former Disney star described her fifth studio album as one that conveys "honesty, empowering messages and confidence."

Alongside Confident, Lovato is featured in a revisited Fall Out Boy track "Irresistible," released Friday. The accompanying video for the tune features an adorable set of pugs who characterize a love story while Demi and FOB singer Patrick Stump sing lyrics, "I love the way you hurt me/It's irresistible."
