Watch: One Direction's new music video for 'Drag Me Down'

LONDON, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- One Direction has teamed up with NASA in new music video for their hit single Drag Me Down.

The video features the group training at the NASA Space Centre in Houston, Texas getting ready for a launch into space. The foursome is seen decked out in full astronaut gear as their shuttle blasts off into orbit. Drag Me Down was directed by frequent collaborator Ben Winston who has been in charge of several videos for the band including Story Of My Life and Night Changes.

Since debuting on Thursday, Drag Me Down has already excited fans all over social media as the hashtag #DragmeDownMusicVideo trends worldwide on Twitter.

Drag Me Down is the first single the band has released since former member Zayn Malik announced his departure back in March. Since then, Malik signed a solo record deal with RCA in July.

One Direction is currently performing across North America as part of their On the Road Again tour.
