Stephen Colbert names Jon Batiste his 'Late Show' band leader

NEW YORK, June 4 (UPI) -- Renowned jazz musician Jon Batiste is to serve as bandleader on Late Show with Stephen Colbert, CBS announced Thursday.

"His music makes the audience feel so good, we may have to install a 'Do Not Make Love' sign," Colbert joked in a statement.

"I'm thrilled! This is a match made in heaven. Get ready for a love riot in late night," added Batiste.

The show is to premiere Sept. 8.
