LONDON, June 3 (UPI) -- Rita Ora released her "Poison" music video Wednesday.

The video sees the 24-year-old British singer break free of a toxic relationship with a controlling photographer. Ora previously told the Daily Star the single is inspired by her real-life experience.

"'Poison' was a long time coming for me being a 24-year-old girl and it's about how I envision love and a time in my life when it was poisonous," she shared. "It's a really honest song for me."

The track is Ora's first solo single since "I Will Never Let You Down," which the singer collaborated on with then-boyfriend Calvin Harris. "Poison" is rumored to be about her relationship with the Scottish DJ.

The music video debuted the day after Ora's win at the 2015 Glamour Women of the Year Awards. The singer received the Television Personality award for her work as a coach on BBC reality competition The Voice U.K., which she joined in season four.
