LOS ANGELES, May 14 (UPI) -- Nick Fradiani was crowned the winner of Season 14 of American Idol in Los Angeles Wednesday night.
The 30-year-old musician from Connecticut beat out his fellow finalist Clark Beckham for the title and a recording contract. The finale ended with Fradiani performing his coronation song "Beautiful Life."
Fox's American Idol, which is hosted by Ryan Seacrest, featured Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban as judges for this edition. The singing competition series is to end with its upcoming 15th season.
