Mariah Carey forced to cancel Vegas show due to bronchitis

LAS VEGAS, May 14 (UPI) -- Only a week after debuting her Las Vegas show, Mariah Carey was forced to cancel her performance on Wednesday due to bronchitis.

The singer, who just started her Mariah #1 to Infinity residency at Caesars Palace, took to Instagram to share the news.

"Hey guys.. I've been fighting bronchitis for the past few days.. almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor's orders. I'm so sorry to cancel tonight's show but I promise to make it up to you!!! Love you always, MC," she said. Carey is set to perform at the Billboard Music Awards on May 17.
