"Give Me One Reason" debuted on Chapman's fourth studio album, New Beginning, in 1995, and was released as a single in 1996. The track earned the 50-year-old singer-songwriter a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 1997.

Clarkson released her seventh studio album, Piece by Piece, in February, and will kick off an accompanying tour in July. The singer recently revealed she finds it difficult to convince other artists to collaborate with her, but later confirmed she and Demi Lovato plan to work on new music.
