"I'll share a lot of songs that I was writing during that era that I never shared publicly," she told the Canadian Press.

"I want to make it half-book, half-music, so I'll do a lot of writing and chapter writing and just personal stories, really, around the whole creating of the record and the experience that ensued thereafter."

The new album will include the smash hits "You Oughta Know," "Hand in My Pocket," "Ironic," "You Learn" and "Head Over Feet" among others, as well a some new tracks.

The album's producer and co-writter Glen Ballard credited Jagged Little Pill's success to Morissette's ability to "connect what she felt with her voice."

The singer released her latest and eighth studio album Havoc and Bright Lights in 2012.
