Incubus releases 'Absolution Calling,' first single in 4 years

The song is the first single from the band's upcoming two-part album.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- American rock band Incubus released its first track in four years "Absolution Calling" on Thursday.

The song -- the first single from the band's upcoming two EPs -- was launched through a video posted to the band's Vevo account and follows Incubus' seventh discographic effort If Not Now, When? which was released in 2011.

The band announced plans for the two-part album in December, which will be released though Island Records this year.

Incubus formed in 1991 and released its first album Fungus Amongus in 1995. Original members Mike Einziger, Brandon Boyd and Jose Pasillas remain with the band. Chris Kilmore joined in 1998, and Ben Kenney in 2002.
