New Kids on the Block to tour with TLC and Nelly

NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- New Kids on the Block has announced plans to tour with TLC and Nelly this spring and summer.

The first Main Event show is scheduled for May 1 in Las Vegas.

After announcing the tour on Good Morning America Tuesday, NKOTB took over the LIVE! with Kelly and Michael set and played a mix of hits and new fan favorites throughout the entire hour of the show.

The morning media blitz continued as NKOTB and TLC shut down Manhattan's Chase Plaza at Madison Square Garden for a press conference, Live Nation said in a news release.

"We always have something special up our sleeves," NKOTB member Donnie Wahlberg said in a statement. "Our fans keep asking us to come back out on the road, and we want to keep giving them what they want! We wanted to make sure it was something new and fresh and fun and totally worthwhile for all of our supporters year after year. This year, we are making it The Main Event. And we promise, it will be the ticket of the summer."
