NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The British-Irish pop group One Direction is to star in its first U.S. television network special Dec. 23, NBC announced Wednesday.

The program will be part of the band's cross-platform partnership with NBCUniversal for the global launch of its upcoming studio album Four.

Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson will also perform live on the Today show and Un Nuevo Dia Monday, originating from Universal Orlando Resort's CityWalk in Florida.
