LONDON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Rita Ora claimed her Twitter account was hacked last Friday after a tweet from her handle promising a new song in exchange of 100,000 re-tweets failed to accomplish its goal.

When the post only received 2,000 retweets close to its Nov. 3 deadline, Ora took to the social media site to explain she wasn't the author of the message, and that "luckily" she noticed her account was hacked quickly and deleted it.

Ora, however, hasn't been able to recreate the success she's had in the U.K. in the states. Her still-untitled second studio album is currently in the works and features collaborations with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Ora was recently named the new judge in Britain's The Voice and will make her acting debut in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film.
