Jimmy Fallon books U2 for five consecutive 'Tonight' shows

The Irish rock band famously performed on the Feb. 17 debut of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" with a historic performance on the rooftop of 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York.

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- The Irish rock band U2 has been booked to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon every evening from Nov. 17-21, NBC announced Tuesday.

"The band's five-night residency will support their 13th studio album Songs of Innocence and will feature numerous surprises in addition to multiple musical performances, comedy sketch appearances and online exclusives," the network said in a news release.
