Stevie Wonder announces 'Songs in the Key of Life' concert tour

The shows are scheduled to begin in New York Nov. 6 and to wrap up Dec. 5 in Oakland, Calif.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Famed singer, songwriter, musician and producer Stevie Wonder is to kick off a North American concert tour in New York Nov. 6, Live Nation announced.

The Songs in the Key of Life shows are scheduled for at least 10 cities in the United States and Canada this fall. The final date is set for Dec. 5 in Oakland, Calif.

Produced and promoted by Live Nation, the performances will be live adaptations of his iconic 1976 album, which the Library of Congress has preserved in the National Recording Registry. It features the classic songs "I Wish," "Sir Duke," "Another Star" and "Isn't She Lovely."

Throughout his career, the 64-year-old singer has amassed 49 Top 40 singles, 32 No. 1 singles and worldwide album sales of more than 100 million units. He also has earned 25 Grammy Awards, an Oscar and a Golden Globe; is an inductee into the Rock and Roll, Songwriters' and NAACP halls of fame; and is a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor.
