LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Keyshia Cole has announced the release date of her new album.

The 32-year-old singer will release Point of No Return on Oct. 7. The record is her sixth studio album, and a follow up to 2012's Woman to Woman. Cole announced the news Thursday on Instagram, and included a picture of the album's cover art.

"Oct 7 Is the Album release date!" she captioned the photo. "(My BDay is the 15th) And TV Show airs on BET Sept 2ND! #IGuessTheTurnUpIsReal."

Cole told Fuse magazine in March there are "definitely more sexy songs" on Point of No Return than she's ever done.

"I'm excited to see what the people think about that, so we'll see how receptive they are to the album," she said. "I think it's a great album and I feel it's one of my best albums to date."

The singer previously appeared on BET reality series Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is and Keyshia & Daniel: Family First, and will star in a new, untitled series on the network beginning September 2.
