NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey parted ways with manager and longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri and is bringing Kevin Liles on board her musical empire instead.

Dupri became the Hero singer's manager in 2013 after she broke ties Randy Jackson and Irving Azoff, and Bruce Eskowitz.

She's been collaborating with the So So Def mogul for years — he produced hits We Belong Together and Always Be My Baby.

"I'm a very hands-on person when it comes to my work," Dupri said in a statement. "I put my all into every project. But when I'm not allowed to do what I do, then I know it's time for me to move on. Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future."

Sources told Billboard Carey is bringing in Liles to replace Durpi.
