"This year, not only will I be dropping Tha Carter V, but I'm dropping two albums," he reveals. "We're gonna drop two albums this year, and we're gonna probably drop like seven next year."

Tha Carter V, his upcoming twelfth studio album, was announced in October 2013. The album was scheduled to be released May 5, but experienced delays and does not have a current release date.

"Honestly, the reason why it became two albums is because I went to work on Tha Carter V," the rapper continues. "I don't stop working. Either Tha Carter V's going to be 93 songs, or we gonna have to figure this out."

Lil Wayne had previously intimated that Tha Carter V would be his last album before retirement. The rapper and Drake begin a 31-city Drake vs Lil Wayne tour August 8 in N.Y.
