LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- "Weird Al" Yankovich plans to release a new album this summer.
The 54-year-old parodist and singer announced the album this weekend on Twitter. The record will be his fifteenth studio release, and his first album since Alpocalypse in 2011.
"Big important cryptic announcement coming," he teased before posting promotional shot of himself with the words "July 15."
The title and track list have not been released, but there have been a couple hints about the album's content. Comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted in May, "Just listened to @alyankovic's upcoming album & I am in awe. He satirizes a band I've worshiped since the 90s & it...is...beautiful," and TMZ reported in June that Yankovich had asked Iggy Azalea's permission to parody one of her songs.
