Rihanna goes goth at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, wins Artist of the Year

Thursday night's ceremony marked the first ever iHeartRadio Music Awards.

LOS ANGELES, May 2 (UPI) -- Rihanna won big at the iHeartRadio Music Awards show Thursday.

The 26-year-old singer walked away with four wins for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for "Stay" with Mikky Ekko, Best Fan Army, and Hip-Hop/R&B Song of the Year for "Pour it Up." Other big winners included Lorde for Best New Artist, and Miley Cyrus hit "Wrecking Ball" for Best Lyrics.

Rihanna wore a black, gothic-lace see-through dress paired with a black leather jacket at the ceremony. The star wore her hair up in multiple twists, and accessorized with a sparkling cross necklace reminiscent of a rosary.

Thursday marked the first ever iHeartRadio Music Awards ceremony. The event took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Calif.
