Taylor Swift hires new publicist

NASHVILLE, April 20 (UPI) -- Singer Taylor Swift has parted ways with spokeswoman Paula Erickson and is bringing in Tree Paine to handle public relations.

“There isn’t a publicist in NY, LA or Nashville that wouldn’t jump at an opportunity to work with someone as talented as Taylor Swift and her management team,” Paine said of the new gig.

After signing on with Swift, Paine set up a new PR company called Premium PR.

She's already taken to Twitter to protect her new client's interests.
