ATLANTA, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Jeffrey Hubbard was found guilty of homicide by vessel Thursday in the Georgia death of singer Usher's 11-year old stepson, Kile Glover, TMZ reported.

Hubbard was arrested last March for allegedly running over the boy with a personal watercraft on a Georgia lake in 2012.

Kile, the son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka, had been riding on an inner tube when Hubbard crashed into him. He suffered a critical brain injury and his family decided to remove him from life support nearly two weeks after the mishap.

Hubbard was convicted of homicide by vessel, reckless operation and unlawful operation of a personal watercraft, TMZ reported.
