Sky, Westminster Dog Show winner, seen at Broadway's 'Kinky Boots'

NEW YORK, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Sky, the Wire Fox Terrier named Best in Show at the Westminster Dog Show this week, has made a surprise appearance in Broadway's "Kinky Boots."

Sky and her handler, Gabriel Rangel, took the stage at the top of Thursday night's show when Don, the disgruntled factory worker played by Daniel Stewart Sherman, was making his curtain-raising turn-off-your-cellphone announcement, representatives for the Tony Award-winning musical said in a news release.

"I don't care if you did win the Westminster Best in Show -- pick up after your dog! And congratulations!" Sherman told Rangel as he kissed Sky.

The spotlight-loving pooch returned for the show's curtain call and received a standing ovation for her Broadway debut.
